Board of Finance

The Board of Finance has six regular members plus three alternates who are elected to oversee town finances. They obtain public input on budget requests, make funding recommendations and submit town and local school budgets to New Hartford voters for approval. Once voters have approved the budget expenditures, the Board of Finance sets the mill rate.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm

2021 Proposed Budgets Approved at Referendum on May 4, 2021

Following the Budget Referendum on May 4, 2021, the Town of New Hartford Budget including the General Government, New Hartford Board of Education and Capital Expenditures was accepted by 258 Yes votes to 86 No votes.  District 1 had 121 Yes votes and 44 No votes.  District 2 had 137 Yes votes and 42 No votes.

The Regional School District No. 7 Annual Budget was accepted in New Hartford by 222 Yes votes to 122 No votes.  New Hartford District 1 had 108 Yes votes and 57 No votes.  New Hartford District 2 had 114 Yes votes and 65 No votes.
