Paint the Pavement 2015

On Saturday, September 19, 2015 a dedicated group of volunteers brought the New Hartford Art League's vision to life as New Hartford became the first town in New England to Paint murals on The Pavement in the Town Center.  Thanks to all the volunteers who made this possible.  The photos below do not adequately show these images.  Please stop by the downtown area to see them in person.

The design selected to best illustrate the Town Motto "A Town for All Seasons" was designed by Cheryl Bartley.  This design is located in front of Torrington Savings Bank on Main Street.  (Photo by Christine Hayward).

The best Children's Design was submitted by William Dietz, age 11.  This design is painted on Church Street North behind the Immaculate Conception Church.  (Photo by Dan Jerram).

The best Adult Design submitted by Dotty Craig features the seasonal activities that are available to residents and visitors in New Hartford.  This design was painted on Church Street North in front of the North Congregational Church.   (Photo by Christine Hayward).

This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the New Hartford Art League, the support of the Town of New Hartford Economic Development Commission and the volunteers who helped with the many tasks to take these lasting murals from concept to reality.  Special Thanks to the Torrington Savings Bank for donating water and to Pizza Pete's for providing pizza to feed our volunteers.  Thank You!
