A Scientific Look at Global Warming (Now Called Climate Change) Presented by Robert Hinnrichs.
Bob was Chief Program Engineer for the NASA Space Station at Rockwell International. A large part of his job was to develop the electrical power system for the Space Station . Looking into programs to use this work afterwards his team build a solar power plant in the Mojave Desert. Part of that and other development efforts required them to look at future changes in the climate and projections of solar radiation from the sun. The information on climate change that they gathered was very different from what was appearing in the media. Leaving Rockwell in 1995 he co-founded a small aerospace company involved in the development of advanced electro-optical systems for the military and industry. Still not satisfied with the popular reporting on climate change he began to look at it again after retiring. He will share the data he has collected for years and invite the audience to form their own opinions.
A native Californian, Bob now uses his knowledge of the climate to grow Syrah grapes on 20 acres along the central coast.
