Event Date:
Wednesday, August 11, 2021 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Whether you are staying home, visiting family, or on vacation, you can participate in the Nutmeg Book Club from anywhere with wi-fi on Wednesday evenings! The "Meet and Greet" will begin the program on June 30, and you'll get to pick the reading schedule for the summer program. Enjoy reading the Nutmeg award-winning books and check in weekly with Ms. Wiecking online for fun discussions.

A variety of topics, genres, and formats will be included in the book club. Solve a mystery to save the world with an Albert Einstein prodigy, go to Puerto Rico, travel through magical realism in graphic novel form, and work through tough teen issues.

Each teen will receive their very own paperback copies of the books to be read and discussed. The first meeting on June 30 will be a "Meet and Greet." Register to reserve your copies and pick up your books at the Beekley ahead of time. When your books are ready, you will receive an email that includes the Zoom link.

Ms. Nancy Wiecking will be leading the discussions each week. She has been teaching middle and high school for over 10 years and can't wait to read the Nutmeg nominees with you. The Nutmeg Book nominees are chosen by librarians and student readers and are considered to be the best stories of the year.

Visit Children's Room - THE LICIA & MASON BEEKLEY COMMUNITY LIBRARY (beekleylibrary.org) for more information and to sign up.
