Event Date:
Thursday, October 21, 2021 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Christine Peyreigne, President and Founder of Christine’s Critters, will bring both birds of prey and reptiles to celebrate both Raptor Month and Reptile Awareness Day (October 21). This is an opportunity to see these amazing creatures up close and learn about the dangers they face in the wild.

It is their mission to educate the public about these majestic birds of prey and the dangers that they face in the wild. Often, the injuries that these birds present with are avoidable if we understand the connection between man and the environment around us. Their reptiles all come to us from the pet trade, so we discuss and teach about responsible exotic pet ownership to try to reduce the number of reptiles and amphibians in rescues in need of new homes.

Christine is a licensed falconer, wildlife rehabilitator for migratory birds and an educator with raptors and reptiles. She rescues injured raptors, rehabilitates and releases those that are able to be released, or finds educational facilities for those deemed non-releasable due to their injuries.
