EARLY VOTING INFORMATION re PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY

Dear New Hartford Registered Voters:

Your town Registrar of Voters office would like to update you with regards to Early Voting.

This year the state of Connecticut has enacted new legislation which expands the hours that voters can cast a ballot.  The option for registered voters to cast their vote has been lengthened to include a set period of days in which they may participate in an Early Voting process prior to election day, also known as Early Voting.  Please note our upcoming Early Voting period for the Presidential Primary is as follows:

The Early Voting period will be March 26th – 28th (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and March 30, 2024 (10:00AM – 6:00PM). 
The ONLY location of the Early Voting will be at the Town Hall 530 Main St, New Hartford, CT 06057.

The date of the Presidential Primary is Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Usual Polling Places – Town Hall for First District Voters / South End Fire House for Second District Voters - 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Questions about  Absentee Ballot voting? 

The Registrars of Voters do not issue Absentee Ballots. If you have questions about the absentee ballot process, call 860-379-5037, or visit the Town Clerk's Office.  While the Registrars count the ballots on Election Day, the process of applying for, receiving, and returning completed absentee ballots is under the jurisdiction of the Town Clerk.

There are times when the Registrars will be in the office in addition to the posted office hours.  Messages may be left on the answering machine and your call will be returned as soon as possible.  If you wish to email the Registrars, their address is voteNH@newhartfordct.gov.
