Water Pollution Control Authority

The New Hartford WPCA regulates sewer services with the powers, purposes and objectives set forth in Chapter 103 of the Connecticut General Statute (CGS § 7-245 et seq.) as may be amended from time to time.
The New Hartford WPCA has (a) the power to designate and delineate the boundary of areas served by the public sewerage system in the Town of New Hartford; and (b) the power to order the owner of any building to which the public sewerage system in the Town of New Hartford is available to connect such building with said
system.  

News and updates related to the Pine Meadow Sewer Extension Project will be posted on this web page. Any questions related to the project can be referred to Town Hall (First Selectman's office at 860-379-3389) and appropriate personnel will be contacted to respond to your inquiry.

Pine Meadow Sewer Project Update #1 (December 14, 2023):  Residents in the area of New Hartford referred to as "Pine Meadow" that will be affected by the Pine Meadow Sewer Expansion Project have been mailed an update letter advising them that Surveyors will begin preliminary work in the area.  Surveying will be done to check elevations on the following streets:  Black Bridge Road, Ten Street, Wickett Street, Church Street and portions of Main Street (Route 44).  Clark Land Surveyors is the company that has been hired to perform this work. Do not hesitate to ask for identification if you feel the need to do so.
All questions regarding the project can be called into Town Hall at 860-379-3389 and they will be forwarded to the Building Committee that will oversee this expansion project.



 

 

 

Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut purchased the Town of New Hartford water and sewer assets as of October 2, 2023.  Aquarion Water Company is responsible for all operations of the water and sewer systems in New Hartford.
