Paintin en Plein Air
If you are inspired by nature to draw, sketch, paint, photograph or create in any way, come and set up your easel or your tripod at either of two adjoining New Hartford Land Trust (NHLT) preserves on Sabolcik Road for part or all of the day. Pack a lunch and join other artists for a break at noon. The NHLT's Crockett Preserve and Alfred Sabolcik Preserve include meadows, woodlands, streams, beaver activity, a mill pond, ravines and glacial erratic boulders to name some of the possible subjects for your artwork. Contact NHLT for more information or to let us know you plan to join so our volunteers will be there to orient you to the properties. The trail loops at these Preserves are open from dawn to dusk every day. No dogs or motorized vehicles please. Co-sponsored with the New Hartford Art League.
