This page is provided as a central location where residents can find information about the various subcommittees without knowing the Board or Commission that has appointed the members.

Architectural Review Committee
The members of the Town of New Hartford Planning and Zoning Commission appoint the members of the Architectural Review Committee.   The 5 regular members and 2 alternate members are tasked with developing architectural guidelines for all applicable projects to support the consistency of our small town rural character.
 

Asset Evaluation Subcommittee
The Board of Selectmen have appointed residents to serve on an Asset Evaluation Subcommittee.  This committee has been charged with investigating the possible sale of assets of the water and/or sewer systems. 
 

POCD Implementation Committee
The members of the Town of New Hartford Planning and Zoning Commission appoint the members of the Plan of Conservation and Development Implementation Committee.
 

 Pine Meadow Sewer Extention Building Committee
The Board of Selectmen have established the Pine Meadow Sewer Extention Building Committee and have appointed three members effective November 30, 2023.

Post Sale Transition Team
The Board of Selectmen have appointed the members of the Water Pollution Control Authority as of July 29, 2021 to serve as the Post Sale Transition Team for the sale of the water and sewer assets to Aquarion.  The team will make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen related to the various parts of the question approved at referendum on March 6, 2021.

Rails to Trails Study Committee 
The Towns of New Hartford and Barkhamsted have established a joint study group to explore the possibility of a trail from Callahan Park at Route 219 in New Hartford to the steel bridge on Route 181 in Pleasant Valley.
 

 

School Building Committee
The School Building Committee was established at the Annual Town Meeting on April 24, 2013 to coordinate/oversee structural and security improvements at the New Hartford Public Schools.
