Registrars of Voters

The Presidential Preference Primary has been postponed until August 11, 2020 by Governor Lamont's executive order 7BB.  As a result, May 11, 2020 is the last day that an enrolled elector may transfer from one political party to another and be eligible to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary of the new party on August 11, 2020. From the date of party transfer there is a three-month period where the elector is not entitled to vote in a primary of any party and is not entitled to the privileges accompanying the enrollment in any party.

Please note that Unaffiliated voters are not permitted to vote in Democratic or Republican primaries in the state of Connecticut.  You must belong to the party holding the Primary in order to vote!
