You may renew your dog license online if rabies vaccination is current in the Town Clerk database. You may fax or email updated certificates using the contact information at the left or the email link below.
If our records include a dog that you no longer own, please click here to send us an email so we may update our records. You may also use this link to send a scan of updated rabies certificates.
For a new license or to renew by mail, complete this form and mail or bring to the Town Clerk's office with Rabies certificate and Spay/Neuter certificate if applicable as well as the appropriate fee:

If submitting by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope or an additional 75 cents postage to receive your tags.
Based upon the Governor's executive order for only the 2020 licensing year, if renewing after July 31st a late fee of $1 per month per dog will be due:
Online renewals will automatically have the required late fees added. If renewing by mail, please include the appropriate licensing fee and late fee per dog for the month in which your renewal will be postmarked. Checks should be payable to "Town of New Hartford".
