Invasive Plant Pulling Party- Helen Butler Riverfront Trail

 Please join members of the Town's Open Space Preservation Commission (OSPC) and the New Hartford Land Trust (NHLT) to pull rapidly spreading, invasive garlic mustard plants at the Town's Helen Butler Riverfront Trail property on Saturday, May 11th at 1:30 p.m. This invasive plant is flowering now so we want to remove it before it goes to seed. Please RSVP to newhartfordlandtrust@yahoo.com so we know how big our work party will be and can plan accordingly. This parcel is owned and managed by the Town and preserved through a conservation easement held by the New Hartford Land Trust, a private, nonprofit land conservation organization. Periodically, NHLT organizes periodic work parties to perform trail maintenance and other management projects at the Helen Butler Riverfront Trail in coordination with the Town OSPC. Bring work gloves, water and insect repellent!
