The New Hartford Women's Club is hosting the Babysitter Safety Course at Ann Antolini after school on April 29th and 30th. It will be run as an after-school program in 2 x 2.5-hour sessions. There are only 15 spots available to sixth grade students, at a cost of $10.  Payment must be received prior to taking the course.This course normally costs $87.50 per student, with the Womens Club subsidizing 50% of the cost. However, this year we are able to bring it to you at a cost of $10 per child, through a grant the New Hartford Womens Club received from Northwest Community Bank Foundation. We would like to thank Northwest Community Bank for their generous support.

This is an entry level course intended to teach age-appropriate skills necessary to care for children of all ages using team babysitting, mother's helper and individual babysitting concepts. The course focuses on safety with emphasis on prevention.
Other topics include infant & childcare, activity planning, hand washing, diapering, bottle feeding, personal safety and interview skills. Basic first aid and obstructed airway management for a conscious choking adult/child and infant will be covered. First Aid including adult and child CPR (requires passing written and skills testing to receive 2 year certification) Booklet, handouts and Babysitter Safety Certificate of completion included.
A snack and water will be provided during the session.
