Glass Castle Children's Art Exhibit Opens at the Beekley Library

The Glass Castle Children's Art Exhibit will be available for viewing. Art students, beginning at age five, learn the basics of drawing and painting from Ann Raymond. Two-dimensional art skills are built to create a complete painting, including subject, color, color mixing, textures, composition, and using the correct pencils and tools. Three-dimensional skills are taught using sculpture and pottery on the wheel.

Ann Raymond, professional artist and art teacher, has been teaching art in her Pine Meadow studio for over 37 years. "Art is basic to all education. It is the beginning of learning," she said, "Before a child can write or read, a child draws."
